Pondweeds

Description

Hello again. These are an example of the aquatic plant type of my characters; they are two pondweed siblings. They're not specific characters, more representations of an idea. The aquatic variety of plant-people in this world come in many forms, these are two variations (a "classic" mermaid style and a mermaid style with two tails or with split tail like legs.) There are several other variations, and all aquatic plants will have slightly pointed ears. Some wear clothes and some do not, because they live primarily in underwater kingdoms. Most of them are followers of my water goddess.

I was practicing turned face and foreshortened body angels, but I decided to make a drawing around my practice. It was also useful to make a concept for my aquatic plants. (:

Why do I always draw groups of two when I use watercolor? It's a mystery!
I really wish the glitter I used showed up here, it looks very nice and sparkly in real life when you turn it. (:

Tools: Cotman Watercolors, Strathmore 140 lb watercolor paper, while acrylic paint, glitter spray perfume (it doesn't show up with my scanner) + mildly adjusted for color quality loss and watermark added with PSCS6
*Please excuse the weird lines my scanner created on the sides!

Scanners always eat all the nice effects of your painting. :shakefist:
Your painting still looks great, though! Love the tropical feeling it has. :)
