Second commission from ClassifiedLove. Thank you for commissioning me! I will be redoing this concept in another similar illustration later.
This is a character version of the Moonlight Butterfly from a game called Dark Souls. I thought the butterfly was really beautiful, the design was a pleasure to draw. In person, parts of the illustration sparkle, shine, and reflect light.
Tools: Pearlescent watercolors, Cotman brand watercolors, with small additions using iridescent medium for shine and sparkle, salts, colored pencils and Sakura brand glitter gel pens, white acrylic paint on Strathmore 140lb/300gsm watercolor paper 11x15 inches
